About Spot Cum Projection Welding Machine

A Spot Cum Projection Welding Machine is a resistance welding machine designed to perform both spot welding and projection welding operations on the same machine. It joins metal sheets or components by applying high electrical current and pressure through copper electrodes at the joint area.

In this process, the workpieces are clamped between electrodes and a low-voltage, high-current electric flow generates heat due to electrical resistance at the contact point. The heat melts the metal locally and forms a strong weld nugget when pressure is applied.

Spot welding: Joining two overlapping sheets at specific points.
Projection welding: Joining components (nuts, studs, bolts, pipes) having small projections that concentrate heat and current.

Because of its dual function, the machine is widely used in automobile parts, sheet metal fabrication, appliances, and electrical components manufacturing.
